Late with this - and it's too late in the evening, I'm exhausted... But, wanted to at least get an update in.
Was a wee better week, food choices-wise :-)
I am very busy, and making a computer upgrade right in the middle of it. So, if I go "dark" for few days, don't panic, I'll just be in transition from one system to the other... This is the part I HATE about upgrading! All the software loading & downloading the right drivers, yada yada yada! But, without trouble we have nothing, some idiot said once! :-)
I have bit the bullet and replaced my desktop with a new laptop - am actually excited about it - just worn out right now and not looking forward to the changes - until I've become accustomed to them...
Anyway, weight's better, diet's working - I still need to smarten up a lot when I am away from home.
Thanks, all of you for your support this past week + ...
Sorry if I disappoint with the cryptic post - but hope to have time soon to do this right - Dave

Posted by fellow HealthSteward Peggy-149 from New York on Sep 8, 2010 Going in the right direction. Dave, you have it in you to do this thing. I know how easy it is to try to burn the candle at both ends but rest is a very important part of this journey. (I know I certainly need to follow my own 'advice' here). For so many of us, we make poor decisions when we are tired. There's nothing comparable to waking up refreshed, knowing you have a day of hard work ahead of you and wanting (truly wanting) to make those good food choices throughout the day. When I'm tired, I will find myself grabbing the nearest sweet thing in the hopes of an energy boost.... not the thing to do! Anyway, hoping all the computer stuff comes together quickly for you and you can efficiently get your work done. Stick close to the heels of Karsten.... he's in your corner and will offer you all he has to offer but you have to be the one to put it into action. Looks like you did that this week and a few more weeks like this and you will have quite a momentum built up not to mention that much closer to your goal. Do what you have to, my friend. Know your priorities. Peggy

Posted by fellow HealthSteward Shirley-261 from Tennessee on Sep 8, 2010 One day, and not too far down the road... you will be still burning the candle at both ends but you will wake up and realize you are not as tired, not as worn out and still have left-over energy even after a long, hard day. :) It's coming and you are moving toward that reality a day at a time. I'm so proud of you Dave.
