And THE Word For Today Is ... |
|
 |
..... "Goooooooooooooooooooooooaaaal!"
I was so shocked when I stepped on the scale upon rising for the day this morning. The exact number I've been waiting to see lit up before my eyes: 145.0 -- yes, exactly 145.0! All I could say to myself was, "Look what happens, Theresa, when you once again begin placing your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, first place in your heart, mind, and life!" As Dr. Nick always says, "When you do the right things, the right things happen." And that's the only way I can explain such a huge drop in weight this week.
My original thought was, "Oh, you've been so busy exercising and doing heavy work around the home that you've just sweated out a lot of fluids, and you're dehydrated now." I was sure it had to be that, because I haven't done anything unusual with my food consumption, same ol' same ol' foods. So, how could it be that? What could it be, then, other than a loss in water? But after going through the day with that thought rolling around my head and making careful observations of myself, I can now say I have no apparent signs of dehydration. So, well, as incredible as it seems, I think it's for real! Amazing!! Simply amazing!!!
As if seeing that numeral at the onset of the day wasn't already enough, to top it off, here's something that really happened too! Just weird, but wonderful, in a strange sort of way! lol When I got on the recumbent bike at the YMCA mid-day, it did something out of the ordinary. It didn't start up as usual, instructing me to begin pedaling. Instead its screen said this:
Your weight = 145
"Uh ... what? Um ... ok. Yes, I saw that earlier this morning, but thanks for the 'confirmation,' Mr. MACHINE!!" LOL My only logical guess is that somebody was on the bicycle before me and set up some kind of program details. I don't know. Neither me or Kristin saw anybody on that bike beforehand, as I was talking with her for a few minutes before I actually hopped on it. Hmmm. Whatever the reason, I enjoyed seeing the nice surprising message -- just for me. At least, that's how I'm interpreting that experience. [grin]
Last note for today: I do believe it's time for me to go back to weighing weekly. I used to only weigh in on Saturday mornings, but lately I've been weighing almost daily. I have to confess, for me, it seems I've become a tad obsessive with my friend, Mrs. Scale. And it's time we have a more "normal" relationship -- especially now that I have renewed the most important relationship in my life. Not that I'm ignoring everything else, just keeping it "centered" AND "balanced" again.
Ok, ok ... one LAST thing:
"GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!" [hehehehe]
