Down another two pounds. Not the same loss as previous weeks but still heading in the right direction. Blood glucose is coming down and the fasting reading has been under seven and two hours after eating under 8.5. Still trying to keep off refined sugar and so far have been successful. Exercise not the best but I'm sure this will improve over time. CPAP machine causing me problems but maybe I'll get use to it in time. All the best. John

Posted by fellow HealthSteward Shirley-261 from Tennessee on Feb 16, 2010 Sounds like you are doing well John! The CPAP can take a while to get used to, but once you do, it will change your life for the good. THEN as you get thinner, you will probably be able to get rid of it again. :) Full circle.

IT WAS HEAVEN with out it! Then I gained back 80 and I am back on it and I hate it. But it ismy own fault and I have to lose to get off of it again!! I guess I dont want it bad enough as I am still on it! :( Good luck!! :) and keep up the good weight loss!!

Posted by fellow HealthSteward Theresa-333 from California on Feb 16, 2010 I don't think I could ever do that contraption! I probably should have been using one, but just didn't. And I'm so glad I don't need it now - or ever in the future! I hope you get to that point in time soon too!! :-)

Posted by fellow HealthSteward Lorie-137 from Arizona on Feb 17, 2010 Congratulations on the weight loss AND keeping off the white poison. That's a hard drug to break habit with. I'm working on it myself [for probably the millionth time]

Posted by fellow HealthSteward Dave-40 from ON, Canada on Feb 17, 2010 Great to see you, John!
CPAP machines & masks are a real cross to bear... I've lived with them for 15 years, and wish there was a better way... I think there is more research going on - more feedback from the "field" now than ever before. Yet, they still have not found a better way than to blow a person full of air, have us wake up with mask marks, and sore necks - and often still with headaches... Oh well, for me the alternative is pretty grim, so I carry on. I can just so empathize with you and the process of adjusting to life with all that machinery strapped on!
Have another good week in your weight loss journey! - Dave
