Healthy Eating + Exercise = Weight Loss |
|
 |
The past year and a half has been really tough on me in the stress department. I have watched as things and relationships around me have fallen apart. My work has suffered, my home (house cleaning) has suffered and my health has suffered. On Sunday morning I stepped on the scales and they read 220.
Last week, I was on Facebook and a lady that I know from a previous church had started Body For Life. Tim had spoken highly of it and I was very interested on how she would do. Then a few days later, I was in a department store when I saw the book, “Body For Life Champions”. It was on sale for $7.99 and I knew that I had to buy it.
I read of so many success stories and I wanted success. I wanted it bad. I knew that I had to get a quality protein shake and bar. BFL talks about EAS and I found that I could get it in Canada but the nearest store was an over 2 ½ hour drive away. I thought, when I go to Niagara Falls to see my Mom I could get those products there. That day, however, Richard had a wedding to perform in North Bay. We stopped to go shopping at the mall there and I saw a GNC store. I didn’t know that there was one in North Bay (an hour drive). I bought the book Body for Life Women and my EAS shakes and bars.
This past Monday, I began. Richard is away this week so it was much easier for me to start now. For me “Healthy Eating + Exercise = Weight Loss Success”. Duh, I know that you have been telling me that for a long time.
I have stayed on track with eating and exercise. The hard part will be for me start the end of next week. Richard and I direct 4 weeks of Retirees Retreat where the food is second to none. I am already planning my food and exercise while I am away.
I travel so much that getting exercise in has been difficult with my past ways of doing it. I am not getting pro-active and am planning in advance for times such as these.
Thank you Peggy, Melodie and Shirley for your continued love and support. Shirley, I did tell you that I would be back and here I am.
Have a great week in weight loss everyone.
Blessings,
Barb

Posted by fellow HealthSteward Lorie-137 from Arizona on Sep 1, 2010 Hi Barb, good to see you. I haven't been around as consistently as I need to be either. Traveling is also challenging for me in both the eating area and exercise area. But there must be a way. Others have done it so we can too.
Have a good week!

Posted by fellow HealthSteward Tim-215 from Ohio on Sep 1, 2010 Good for you! The shakes and bars are tasty, though the real message of it is:
1. Healthy eating to create a nice caloric deficit 2. Move, move move.
Sort of like a lot of other plans, huh :)
The other distinctive is:
3. Set a competely unbelievable goal for your success, make a great plan, and go for it.
Sort of like our own dr.nick!
